About
Suanna Zhong is a fourth-year student pursuing a Bachelor of Computer
Science and Arts (BCSA) in Computer Science and Art at Carnegie Mellon
University–a unique interdisciplinary program that combines studies
in the School of Computer Science and the College of Fine Arts.
Balanced between technical rigor and artistic training, she is
interested in the unexpected ways these two primary disciplines
inform each other. This exploration often takes place through playing
with software, building websites, color-grading, or filmmaking.
Being in this unique position between disciplines—and having
experience teaching Computer Science—she
hopes that her work can help technical research breakthroughs become
more legible to broader audiences. Hence, she enjoys being in conversation with artists,
engineers, and anyone who feels like they fall somewhere in between.
Her clients span a wide range of industries, from tech to
contemporary art and global music,
including Capitol Records,
Common Sense Media,
DAY6,
Dehancer,
Jeremy Zucker,
JYP Entertainment,
Kali Uchis,
Kid Cudi,
Marcus Rahauser,
Meta/Facebook,
Pinterest,
Republic Records,
Stray Kids,
Virgin Music Group, and
VSCO.
When she’s not working, you can probably find her making
art, listening to jazz, cafe hopping, or
knitting winter clothes.
