Audiovisual

I define my audio-visual media as any work that functions with respect to time in video form. Time, as a unit of measurement, can be organized in powerful ways to tell a story–the author can expand or shrink certain areas of a narrative arc to create comedic or dramatic effects. There are also an infinite number of ways to add image to illustrate a story, and when we add the parameter of audio, the number of possibilities of how a team can tell a story only grows. These variables can be bent and manipulated to break to tell stories in unconventional ways, which is something I’ve explored in my own practice in various ways: such as 2D and 3D animation, exploring non-linear movement through code, composing my own music, and shooting and directing a number of short films and music videos.
